
Alev Dogan is a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA).
Ms. Dogan earned her dual Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Touro College in 2011. Since then, she committed to additional training and professional development by completing the Students with Disabilities Master’s Extension, Middle School and High School Master’s Extensions, Severe and Multiple Disabilities Master’s Extension, Bilingual Spanish/English Advanced Master’s Certification, and Advanced Master’s Degree in School/District Leadership Dual Program. She competed her academic preparation for BCBA Licensure at Penn University. In 2019, after competing all academic and professional requirements, Ms. Dogan became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. In 2023, she established her company The Best Quality ABA.
Ms. Dogan’s professional experience spans over a period of 25+ years. After graduating from college, Ms. Dogan became a classroom teacher and worked with general and special needs students for many years. Ms. Dogan continued her academic journey at Touro College and after receiving her Master’s Degree in 2011, she worked as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT), an ABA teacher in Early Intervention, and provided Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS) in different settings. - Early Intervention Services
After becoming Board-Certified, Ms. Dogan worked for a number of reputable agencies as a BCBA, providing supervision, assessments, interventions, testifying as an expert witness in Board of Education court cases. Establishing The Best Quality ABA and becoming an independent provider is rooted in Ms. Dogan’s desire to attain greater autonomy over service delivery and ensure best outcomes.
Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a scientific approach that incorporates evidenced-based, reliable, and proven tactics to improve socially-significant behaviors. As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, Ms. Dogan is an independent practitioner, who is trained and licensed to:
- assess and recognize problematic behaviors,
- conduct professional behavior analysis during observation of problematic behaviors,
- conduct multiple psychometric evaluations,
- develop a treatment plan to correct undesirable/problematic behaviors,
- train behavior technicians and parents.
With such vast experiences behind her, Ms. Dogan is uniquely qualified to work with all age groups and has diverse experiences working in different settings. Her diverse professional experiences include:
- administering Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), ABA Skills Assessments and other psychometric tests
- developing and implementing programs that yield significant results
- conducting child evaluations in different settings
- training behavioral technicians

- working with youth and adults in residential settings

Ms. Dogan always assumes an active role as a member of the multidisciplinary team. She has always been an advocate for those who are most vulnerable, actively participates in all Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings, and takes an active role in the development and evaluation of IEPs. In addition, as a highly esteemed BCBA, Ms. Dogan has been invited to provide expert testimony in various court cases.
Ms. Dogan always recognized that each child is unique and that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to teaching or intervention. As a multilingual speaker, fluent in Turkish, Spanish, and English, Ms. Dogan is keenly aware of cultural, religious, and social factors that influence families” response to intervention and, in some cases, propagate the stigma of disability. In the trajectory of her experiences as a SEIT, Early Intervention Service Provider, and BCBA, Ms. Dogan has shown unwavering commitment to providing quality intervention services to students with developmental delays and multiple disabilities. Whether the service setting is in the family home or outside of home, Ms. Dogan has always been an avid advocate for those entrusted to her expertise. She has successfully worked with children of all ages and her approach to ABA intervention is rooted in behavioral sciences and evidence-based practice. What sets Ms. Dogan apparat from other similar service providers is that she is not afraid to “think outside of the box” to get results. Her impressive track record is attributed to her relentless commitment to achieving best possible outcomes.
